Im in thailand too ... from usa ... I watch usa shows through a vpn connection provided by Hotspot Shield from Anchorfree (google to locate free download). This service connects you through usa IPs so I dont know if it will work for uk shows???  It's totally free but they place annoying ads at top of your browser, which you can easily close down (I use AdBlocker in Firefox to get rid of ads).

Maybe there is a similar service in uk???

If  you are worried about missing out on some sports there are bars that often have games on.    You will find some British programs on cable TV in your hotel room such as  BBC, some sports and other syndicated programs.  

Perhaps someone can help you out if you have a particular program that you don't want to miss - just ask about it!
