I am in a keeper league for later tonight..this is my first kepper league and i have a few questions about it?

this league has 3 keepers

so who do you think are the best keeper picks

and who should i consider getting in the first few rounds as keepers

go WR WR if you are in the 6th pick or lower, If you have the top five first picks go RB RB, then go to your QB. This is the best scenerio, I have won many leagues with this strategy and still I get grief for doing so, but all I do is laugh when I recieve the money LOL..

Look for talented young players early.  Try to go running back, running back, running back in the first three rounds. Trust me.  Someone said look for Frank Gore.  I love the Canes, but I must say with Gore's injures, avoid him.

It depends on the scoring of your league. Always lean toward RBs early -- for keepers look at young guys who will get the ball a lot: Adrian Peterson, Joseph Addai, Frank Gore, etc. If your league rewards strong QBs then be sure to grab a Peyton, Brady, Romo early.

I would stay away from WRs -- there are too many good ones and not worth sacrificing an early pick if you are looking ahead to the future.

Again -- depending on your league's scoring -- two RBs and a studly QB are the way to go.

The best keeper picks are those who you anticipate doing well for 3-5 years from your draft date. Don't pick any player who is aging (29 yrs old and up) because they are too old and at risk for injury or losing their starting roles, plus their abilities decline. don't expect to see studs like Steven Jackson, Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne and Jason Witten around every year, as they have already peaked.
