  1. no. we don't really do student exchange programmes to the extent that you do in america. our SEPs are usually between a week or two to another tongued country. some unis do SEPs, but in the third year of an undergraduate course in languages.

the only way you'll get into an english uni is if you apply as a foreign student, they are quite strict on entry requirements and these vary from country (you are coming from) and uni (you want to go to). prepare though fork out and arm and a leg because the prices for foreign students is extreme.

  2. It may be a problem.

Medicine in England is an undergraduate degree - i.e. you apply for it right after leaving school at age 18. In the US it's a postgraduate degree - i.e. you apply for it at age 22 or so once you've graduated college. So it doesn't map neatly like most other degrees do.

  3. There usually is and most of the time you have to pay more to go to school there

  4. As has already been said, it'll be very expensive as to be a fully qualified doctor I believe you train for six years, including your first two junior doctor years.  There are not usually scholarships for foreign students.

Some unis do offer exchange programmes and they can be for a whole year, but again, our medcine programmes are very different to yours.  If you were studying a more generalised science subject, you may get more of a match.

Look into it, but don't get your hopes up too far.
