My teen being extrenely obese, having sufferred several emotional traumas in his life realizes that a drastic measure such as Wellspring camp, is the only hope of saving his life and making the major changes he needs. He is scared but wants so badly to atttend a place that can give this chance. I would do anything for him, but have no way to fiinancially afford it. If anyone can help me find money such as grants or sponsorships, it would be much appreciated!

  1. I will first look for places in which they focus on child obesity, mOst likely they will help any kid that REALLY needs the help, as in morbidly obese. As for your kid, you could write an essay explaining ur situation and explain why do u deserve this financial aid.Put your story in different health websites,

    am guessing like sparkpeople.com

or any other diet website, and you can even used the media, write a REALLY good essay about your financial position and your child's problem..You can even send it to shows that help them like Maury, Ophra.....even though your life will be put out there for everyone to see just understand that you are doing it for your kid's future. While you wait or find some help, try to walk with him regularly, and prepare his meals with healthy ingredients on it,...Vegetables, fruits, Toffu...but still make it tasty and good...Help him and remember there are many weightloss camps outhere, but that is not the ONLY way to combat obesity. ACTION, PLAYING ,EATInG RIGHT,

are some of the things you can do, and dont just wait for help to come from the sky .ACT!!!!....and remeber the people that these companies help are those that REALLY need the help;;....if you kid can do it on his own..then it is going to be a harder battle to convinze them of your need!!

    GOOD LUCK!

  2. This forum is for financial aid for college. You are probably not going to find the answers you want here.

Have you tried contacting the camps to see if there are scholarships opportunities there?
