I am in germany for studies for two months.my visa expires on 31st august and my flight is on 1st sept.help

is there a grace period after a german visa expiration?if yes how long?

  1. I think you'll probably be all right.  If anyone asks, explain your situation and they'll understand.  If you come from a "high risk" country, there might be issues, but you'll probably be ok.  I've been in Germany without a visa before (Americans are allowed to stay 90 days without one) and I stayed 91 or 92 days - nobody gave me trouble.


  2. Don't overstay your visa, even for one day. The school you are attending should have someone who handles visa issues, so find them and ask for assistance.

    At least call the nearest embassy or consulate from your home country and ask for advice regarding how to handle the one-day problem.  

  3. just make sure you are on the west of the wall!

  4. Apply for new visa before the expiry of your visa... and with application for new visa you can still live for the period until you get the new visa.

    Just go to the local visa office and they will give you some hint

    You can also take some help from the airline
