I am in high school and I want to be popular!?

How can I be popular? My high school started in middle school so most people know each other. I do not do sports and i am not smart. I am not a super-model but i like to think I'm decent looking. So how can i become more popular. I don't want to be the girl who no one knows her name or even that she went to their school. I want to hang out with the popular girls and guys. I want be with the hot guys but they do not seem to be interested!

Popularity is not defined by the number of people you know but rather the people that like you for you. Don't try to change yourself to get guys to like you, its stupid. If they don't like you for you then forget them and go for the ones that do.

Maybe I was a bit to crass - popularity is bullsht, I know you won't listen now but being 16 myself (but in college, I got out of that stupid high school sht) POPULARITY DOESN'T MATTER, it won't matter after high school - and all it means is that you've slept with everyone.

It doesn't matter if your popular or not. It matters the quality of the friendships, not the quanity of friends you  have. Just because your "popular" in high school doesn't mean anything later on in life. What matters is how you treat everyone else around you. Kids can be cruel to their fellow students. Just be nice & friendly and people will like you and respect you and you'll make good friends.

i know uve heard this way too many times but..just be yourself! if u try too hard, it will definetley show, and no one wants to be around that!

& just try to find some people who YOU like for who they are, not if they are popular or not. being popular doesnt make life easier or harder, its all about just finding people who like u for who u are.

&& as for the outgoing thing, try joining school clubs, push yourself to talk to a shy person. & that will help you talk to an outgoing person.

just relax and take advantage of high school! its going to be over before u know it!

You dont want to be popular anyway as it nothing special, id know because I was popular and then went over to be unpopular with nerds and such because they proved to be better friends and I was happier
