he is very passionate though , and we love being together , he wants to marry me but i am not ready yet cause i am worried of all the differences .. he tells me also that i am a snob and that i treat him in an insulting manner (i am never aware of that!)

We are both divorced with one kid..

Can this work?

  1. if you think something is wrong.. DONT - dont ever risk getting married when you are sooo unsure.. especially you have a kid - think how much it will affect the kid to see you get married and break up in the end..

tell him that you are not ready - he should understand that if he really loves you.. because if he doesnt - you just made the right decision not to marry him ^__^

but if you really really like him and you are SURE that he genuinely loves you - go for it!

  2. you cant really love this guy because if you did you wouldnt think the way you do...

a person that loves the other wouldnt make judgements like "who is less than me in education , social class, looks, career and even money" you would b more equals and not one above the other...

you are treating him in an insulting manner...

  3. nope...if you aint married yet and he is already callin u a snob and both of you a picking at each other cuz u oviously know you are in different levels...trust me, you are looking at more irreconcilable differences if you marry..

  4. What do those things matter, if you love each other? As long as you look on him as different from you or less than you, then you will treat him in an insulting manner. And, no, under those circumstances, it cannot work. All you'll do is hurt him.

But look at who he is on the inside. Forget about the differences. Does he make you laugh? Is he romantic? Does he show you attention and love? Does he make you feel good about you? Is he a good man?

That's what matters. Just love him for who is and don't try to make him change.
