  1. i have never heard that before, But personally i would eat one, And i am not sure what you mean by heaty.... But if you figure all the woman who smoke/drink while preg i don't think one mango will hurt, But if you are really are worried like always ask the Dr . and if nothing else perhaps just take a bit to try to kick the craving.....

  2. Mangoes are an excellent nutritional source, containing many vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, as well as enzymes such as magneferin and lactase. It contains vitamin A, B, C and C, beta carotene, folate, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, selenium and zinc. Mangoes are high in antioxidant and low in carbohydrates. There nothing reported that they would be bad for you during pregnancy.  Don't know who told you that, but they will only help, not harm.  What you shouldn't eat

are some seafoods; shark, swordfish, king mackerel or tilefish because they contain high levels of mercury which can be harmful to your baby.  See this link for more info:http://parenting.ivillage.com/pregnancy/...

FYI on Papaya:  Should avoid eating that early in pregnancy, see link for more info: http://babyfit.sparkpeople.com/ask-the-e...

  3. This is a myth that eating mango harms foetus. It's infact a good source of  vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants and contain like all fruits very few proteins, fats and calories.

A pregnant woman should eat at least one mango a day - the calcium and magnesium of the mango relaxes the muscles, relieves stress and prevents abortion. Mangos contain also a lot of tryptophan, the precursor of the "happiness-hormone" serotonin.

Anything in excess causes harm but not delicious mango bite.

So go ahead and eat it!!!

  4. Wow, I never new mangoes were bad. I ate them the whole time I was pregnant, My little one is healthy. With no problems at all.

  5. Dont worry at all...Mangos r just totally fine.. But papaya is not allowed in the first three months..I have also been told to me by my doctor as it may lead to abortion..

So dont think about mangoes in a negative way...u r fine and be happy ..
