What major obstacles (such as personal, professional, academic) will you need to overcome in order to be successful in school? What are some ways you might work around these challenges

  1. sure you can, I did it!

    problems may include:

    work and school  (time issue)

if you have a family, that'll make it harder

financial issues  (look into financial aids, or get a loan)

be part time student and study around your work schedule

    good luck

  2. you'll just have to balance work, school, and family.  You can do it.  I take night classes, and usually about half of the people in my classes are "older."  I've had a 65 year old man in a class before.  you are never too old to go back to school.  and frmo my experience the older students are more dedicated and work much harder than us youngsters do.  So good luck to you!

  3. well you shouldnt let anything stop you from going back to school!

but i know that i go to school full time and i also work from 46-51 hours a week. What i do to make sure my GPA stays up is doing my homework, getting help when i need it, and when it comes to papers i write them as early as i can so a teacher can edit it and i redo it again. this way i know that i get the best grade i can. by the way i didnt do homework and i never studied in high school, i didnt do to well my first year in college b/c of bad habits but i buckled down and now im doing great!

    good luck with school!!

  4. GEt thick skin, stay focused and before you know it...it'll be over. Gotta stay positive and think good thoughts. I really believe your thoughts affect everything!

  5. If anything, you have benefits going back to school. You have expirienced more of life and know more how to deal with stress and the like than those straight out of high school. You say you are going back, so you've been before. You know what it's like, but now you have the tools to deal with the intensity of college better.

    good luck!

  6. pray to god and go for the first day, ignore rude people DONT TALK BACK TO THEM and be nice you will have a good college year ans you will also have friends
