Hi. Monday at work, a manager, not mine, grabbed my arm and jerked me back to "talk" to me. I got upset of course and started walking away when he finished. He then again grabbed my and pulled me back a second time. I have complained to the proper people and nothing had happened so far. So when this happened, I felt very afraid and quit my job. I informed my supervisor what had happened and why I was leaving.

So the company said they are investigating this and will do something about it. They want me to come back. I really need to since I support a family of 4. I know I shouldn't have quit but at the moment I was scared and didn't see an end.

Well it has been 3 days and NO ONE has contacted me. I have heard nothing. I really don't know what to do. They don't want me to take action against him.

Not that it matters. But this guy is at least 6'11. I am 4'10"

I would appreciate some serious advice. Please, if you feel the need to be a smartie, please don't answer. I'm just upset.

  1. you could get another job. Then that jerky creepy manager cant bother you anymore

  2. You have all the power right now. ANYONE who grabs you is guilty of assault and battery. If the company ignores it, they are guilty of aiding and abetting the crime.

I would call the highest person in the chain of command available and explain that should they not follow through with reinstating your job WITH BACK PAY for time missed, and getting rid of the offending supervisor, the next call will be from your lawyer.

Don't be intimidated. You got all the chips in your corner. Use them.

  3. First I would say you shouldnt have quit. I had a manager do this to me befor. Then had another one that would time us out lock the doors and make us work ( we all were teens). I would probably take the job back ,but not let it go. If he can grab you and what not whatelse could or would do to you or anyone there. Once you do go back (if you do)they can't fire you if you don't let it go.  Have you tried contacting anyone that dosnt work in the building? Like the last place I worked they had numbers all over for if you had a problem that wasnt getting taken care off by the managers. But if you just don't feel confertable working there don't. Is the pay good anough to deel with all the c**p? Or take it but put in other aplications and just stay till something better comes around. Whatever you do deside let it be for the better for you and your family. But please don't let what he did go and I can't belive they would asked you not to do anything about it. ( well i can they don't want to look bad).Well good luck and  hope I wrote this good anough to understand .
