I am in student visa in london,If my baby born here does the baby get british passport.now i am 7 months?

  1. Yes, anyone born in the U.K. is entitled and is born a citizen


  2. no, unless the father is British, and takes responsability for the child,

  3. No as you are on a student visa your baby is not entitled to British citizenship. The automatic birth right was removed in the 1980's.

  4. no, there is no such thing as automatic citizenship in the UK for ebing born in the UK (unlike Canada or US).  Under the british nationality law, at least one of the parents must be either a UK citizen or permanent resident.

    Since you are on a student visa, you child be not be eligible for British citizenship.
