I am in the 10th grade and i am trying to decide the best way to get through high school.

I want to know to get into a good collede that you should join sports and clubs. I cannot do that since no body has the time to drop me off and pick me up from the place. so i decided to go into the military and then go to collede since collegde is free when you go into the military. but is it true that you can go into any colledge like mit when you are in the military. also is my decision good.

Don't join the military simply because you want to go to college.  The GI Bill is becoming a thing of the past.  And no, you can't go to any college you want, you still have to be admitted.  Join the military if you want to fight or defend your country.

clubs and sports are not necessary for college.  

you just need to show them that you are active in your community.

now you can join the JROTC if you want and they will right a recommendation for you to go to college but it does not guarantee you will go to a amazing college like MIT you still need the grades of course.

Colleges still base your acceptance upon your scholastic achievement.  Don't join the military just because you think it will get to into a good college.  This is a major life decision and you should only join the military if you feel like it is what you want to do with your life.

Do any of your friends participate in after school activities?  I am sure there is someone out there willing to drive you home so that you can succeed in school.

Another alternative it to do ROTC in college.  You train while at a university, taking military courses and others of your choice.  You can get scholarships and you get a monthly check.  This way you are guaranteed a job in the Army upon graduation or any other government job. The leadership and knowledge you gain will be greatly appreciated by prospective employers.

Just don't jump into something for the wrong reasons.  Good luck!
