  1. no.  army to usmc means you start over.  must go to basic training as a recruit.

  2. no. u come u go to marine corp boot camp and automatically become a pfc (E-2).

  3. No. However you 'may' be able to retain a rank of E-2 upon completion of boot camp.  It may also depend on what E-4 you were also, you might be able to retain E-3 if you were the NCO E-4 type.

Every Marine I knew that was prior service had to forfeit their rank regardless, unless they were SNCOs with over 15-years of service or more. You might be retained to NCO and will be expected to complete the Warfigting Skills handbooks and the NCO schools as appropriate.   If any soldier that made SNCO within 8-years, they'll strip that of your collar and expect to be a E-2 or E-4 upon completion of boot camp.

  4. No you can be demoted or promoted depending on the equivalent rank.

  5. You should be able to, if they use the same ranks.

  6. Depends on your Fitreps and your MOS, any disciplinary actions, etc.
