in order to go thru the transfer. I have hypothyroidism and I have cut my calories to 605 a day. I am on the heavy side, but what I am asking is if I stay at 605 calories a day, would you think I would lose the weight fast?? I have started walking close to a mile a day as well. How fast do you think I would lose the weight if I keep doing this everyday?? Please no smart remarks.. thanks! =)

  1. OK now this is important. The human body is designed to run on a minimum of about 1200 calories a day. If you go below that you body thinks that there is a famine and to keep you alive it holds onto the fat and calories from your food and keeps you from losing weight. So by cutting your calories below 1200 all you are doing is damaging your metabolism and making your body store fat. What you need to do is increase your calories to at least 1200 and pay close attention to WHAT is going in your body instead of HOW MUCH. That means cutting out sugars, processed foods, junk food, white flour and things like that. A proper balance of nutrients and a well fed body will make your body feel as if food is plentiful and it doesn't need to store fat so you will drop the weight. Also drinking a lot of water (8-10 glasses per day) will flush out the sodium that makes you retain water and gain weight. The way you are trying to lose weight may work rapidly at first but your body will be nutrient starved and emanciated and not in any condition to carry a baby. You will also gain the weigh back as soon as you are eating normally again (which would be as soon as you got pregnant which isn't healthy for the baby. I used to be 223 lbs. I joined Sparkpeople.com which is a free weight-loss support site. It has forums, workout videos, meal plans and nutrition trackers,  fitness trackers and all sorts of articles on weight loss, fitness, motivation and being healthy. I would suggest you try something like that. I went on it at 223 lbs and now I am at 172 and dropping. You can do it too. And its the healthier way so you will drop the weight but the weight will leave a healthy body behind for that baby. You can look me up on there too and I will support you. My name is AZIAS_MOMMY

  2. Remember, the faster you lose the pounds, the more chance of you to have loose skin in places you don't want.  The faster the weight lose, the greater chance you are not letting your skin gradually adjust to the weight loss.  BTW, I am not sure why you want to be a surrogate, because it usually takes a heavy toll on your body.  I know it is for a good cause, but pregnancy and rapid weight loss???  I am not a doctor, but this sounds unhealthy somehow.  Please take care of yourself.
