I am installing an amp/subwoffer in my car

Question

I am going to install a amplifier and subwoofer in my car

the amp is an 800 watt amp, the subwoofer is a 1300 watt sub

A) will that configuration work

B) what kind of battery do i need

Assuming that both the figures you posted in your question are peak, your amp's RMS will probably be lower than your sub's RMS and your going to want to match amp and sub RMS to have your system reuuning as efficiently as possible.
