  1. Yes definitely

  2. would depend on what country you are coming from.  i would suggest you get in touch with the nearest Vietnam Embassy and see what they tell you.  cheers.

  3. Just add some info:

    - Regular visa: good for 3 months

    - Landing Visa (receive at Tan Son Nhat or Noi Bai): good for one month only

    - Visa Fee of Vietnamese oversea is different than of foreigner and/or Vietnamese American who born in the States.

  4. Do not come without a visa, you will not get one on arival, just a very heavy fine and many problems.

  5. Upon entering the country you will recieve a tourist visa lasting upto 30 days. You may request a extension as many times as the policy will allow. Usually three months is the average, you should ask the man who stamps your passport about how long you can stay in the country and the fee for overstaying your visa.

  6. yes, u do, Have a nice trip.

  7. You can find here the list of some citizen who no need to apply the visa to Vietnam

Other else, book a tour to Travel Agent. TA will give you the pre-arrange free. You will pay only the visa stamp at the Embassy or at the airport ( upon arrival )

  8. It all depends on where you are coming from, if you are an Asian citizen then you may not need to get a visa, so check before you start your travels, most Asians can get a 28 day visa stamp in their passport upon arrival. You can get a tourist visa on arrival at the airport, but I would advise against it due to the cost and time consuming antics the visa office I would get a visa from the nearest Vietnamese embassy/consulate, you can get 1, 3 or 6 month visas by doing this and it will also save you a lot of time when you arrive in Vietnam passing through passport control. Whatever you decide to do enjoy your trip to Vietnam

  9. yes you do need a visa ,only those from ASEAN countries can visit  without a visa

  10. Contact the embassy. In about 24 hours I was able to FAX in a form and payment details, they sent back a "provisional" visa, then when you arrive in Vietnam you hand over your passport and id photos and their officials put the actual visa in your passport.

  11. Yes, you need a visa for Vietnam. Apply with the Vietnamese Consulate in San Francisco, it's cheaper than the Vietnamese embassy.

    (415) 922-1707 ext 1 or (415) 272-3939 or email info@vietnamconsulate.com for current visa fees

Call them for the price. It was $45 for me last year (and the embassy wanted $60) and they gave me a 3-month visa I guess because I was born in the States and never been to Vietnam before. The standard length is 1 month.

  12. Yes you do, you need to contact the Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate in your home country regarding applications, requirements, fees, etc.. I've obtained numerous visas to Vietnam and it is actually a fairly simple process. Visa on arrival is possible when flying into Vietnam, but must be pre-arranged through authorized travel agencies in Vietnam. It's cheaper and easier to do it on your own before you travel. Just enter >Vietnam Embassy<  followed by the name of your country into your browser and you should get the proper website, good luck. Citizens of some Asian countries do not require a visa, so do check the embassy website to be sure.

  13. yes you do need a visa.
