I am interested in adopting a child from america, would i be able to bring up the child in its own country?

  1. While you could adopt in the US, it does not give you residency status.  You would have to get that on your own and the adoption will not give you preferential status.  Most adoptions by foreigners in this country are either private adoptions or adoption of a blood relative. There have been very rare instances of a relative being give residency status on an emergency basis, but that is not your situation.


  2. Adopting in this country is tough enough when you live here, I think you have researched this idea enough.

  3. I am sorry, but it appears you would adopt from the U. S. of A. purely with the thought of your being able to be here.

  4. I believe the only way to be with the adopted, in the u.s. is if you wait till he/she is 21 and then they might get you a u.s. residency and that's if he/she still has u.s. citizenship and didn't lose it from you adopting him/her.
