What is the best way to go about finding a couple who needs someone to have their baby for them? I am physically and emotionally ready, and I could use the money. Where do I start?

  1. Google it. There are many websites dedicated to it. But read up, it is more involved than you might think.

  2. ask yourself this:

"would i do this for free, and pay the medical bills myself for another couple?"

"would i do this, knowing fullwell the issues this child will assuredly have, knowing it will be separated from the mother that he/she has bonded with?"

  3. So, let me get this straight...you are looking for some extra cash and figure selling a child is the best way to go about it...is that correct?

I'm sure your little commodity er um baby will be so grateful.

  4. Don't do it.

The child will forever be screwed up - emotionally and psychologically.

Find another way to get money - please.

Selling a child is just horrible.

    Surrogacy is just wrong.

It's all about making a product (a baby) for adults - with no consideration AT ALL as to how that child will feel down the track.

    Very messed up.

  5. I dont think anyone could be emotionaly ready to do that im my opinion. I gave my second child up for adoption and am so regretting it right now and see it as one of the biggest mistakes of my life... You cant hold a baby in your womb and then give birth to her and go through all those experiences and then just give her up and go on with life.... I dont think is a price you could pay to have those bonds and experiences.

  6. Visit www.surromommies.com they are a WONDERFUL group of women!!! They will answer any and all of your questions!! Good luck on your journey, it is SO wonderful of you to consider this!! I will become a surrogate in about 3 years, right now I am focusing on school and my children, but I am so excited to help out a loving family, and I agree, I could use the $, you can get around $20,000 for babysitting and helping a family out, isn't that awesome!!

  7. Yuk renting your womb out for money is just horrific and what about the child, ever consider their feelings, hmmmm

  8. Actually the best is to find an agency. do a search for one's in your area. they screen you, the parents and filter the money and legal issues

  9. the best is go to a adoption attorney that way it stays completey legal

  10. Uh yeah, womb rental is an awesome way to make some cash... or not.

Ever think of what the child will feel? Or what you will feel? Loosing a child you carry for 40 weeks is sheer h**l and so is loosing the mother you were born to.

There are better ways to make money off your own body... kidney sales, working at a rub-n-tug, streetwalking...

  11. Please reconsider and find another way to make money.  Although you say you are emotionally ready, I don't know how you can be certain of this, as it's obviously unchartered territory for you.

Carrying a child and bonding with that child, then giving that child and receiving a fee cannot be emotionally easy for anyone.

However, more importantly, consider the child.  There are people who are so honed in on getting a child that they really don't consider that the means by which the child is obtained can be very hard on the child.  This baby will not be a baby forever.  He or she will become an adult with questions -- questions without truly adequate answers.
