I am interested in directing/casting, asking for help, recommendations etc thanks!?

Question

I am quite young, but interested in becoming an (assistant) director or a casting director. I enjoy acting and I have been in numorous productions but I have always had a fairly good eye for spotting potential and I have had a go at directing which although I found hard, I enjoyed and was told I was good at. I'm basically asking for any information to do with directing and casting and any courses/directing workshops you would recommend. All advice on anywthing to do with directing though very much apprechiated. Please be thoughtful in your answers, thanks to you all in advance

Physically go down to a studio, take a job as a helper and get experience around film sets. It will then be easier to meet people in the business.
