  1. Make them to becomes friends. Unless your dogs bite the Python nothing will happen.

  2. you can receive hand raised pythons, they mean no harm. it will not harm your dogs if your  dogs don't post any threats towards it. you will be in no danger owning a hand raised python just be gentle and don't harm it.

  3. A python that size most likely wouldn't be able to kill a small dog, but the dogs would be more than capable of injuring the python. Just keep the snake away from any other pets and have its enclosure in a secure area.

If you are in Australia, anthill pythons are VERY rare in the private trade and if any were for sale, you can expect to pay upwards of $5000 or more, probably a lot more than this. The time I have been in the hobby I havent seen any advertised, let alone know of someone who does keep them.

The next best choice for you would be a childrens (antaresia childreni) or stimsons python (antaresia stimsoni). They grow to around 90cm and have very similar husbandry requirements and are usually very placid snakes.

    Hope this helps!
