  2. They vary from state to state. Check with your local Department of Social Services/Child Welfare and Health Department for the regulations.

    Also, you should learn to spell. It's "prerequisites." You will need good communication skills, both verbal and written, to open and keep your business running.

If you are opening a day care center, it may be more cost effective to consider purchasing and existing center - unless you have quite a bit of capital.  I suggest you search for preschools for sale in your city of interest.  This will help with the permits and fire codes that are involved in most instances.  AND, you will be able to gain your license without having to pay a lease and other expenses while you try to build  your clientele.
