  2. There are piles of them! There is a huge demand for animators in the video games industry, in advertising, in animation companies which produce series or shorts for television, and of course in major animation houses which produce feature film. In fact, any company related to the media probably needs animators of some kind.

    Unless it is an introductory course, I would suggest a course that concentrates on 2D OR 3D animation, not both - I majored in 3D animation, and while we studied 2D animation in the first year because it is important to grasp the principles before tackling 3D, I would be wary of studying them to an equal degree through the entire course. The fundamentals are similar but when you start coming to learning how to be GOOD at animation, the two disciplines diverge a great deal, and even just one takes a lot of hard work. in my opinion you will only become really skilled if you concentrate on being one or the other.
