drop ur idea... hehe.. u should go n join a class where there would be singles like u waiting to be paired up... here u may find ppl but from places elsewhere ~ u need to look ppl in ur vicinity ~ thanks!

Usually, various people show up to salsa classes that don't have partners.

In most classes, the teacher has everyone rotate partners... so even if you brought a partner, you would only end up dancing with that one person for a couple of minutes.

Buy a dvd at Amazon.com, or rent one on Netflix.  They teach you how to do the moves solo, but also explain how you would do the dance with a partner...

Oh, and there is a Dancing with the Stars DVD that teaches you about 10 different styles, it is really helpful if you are interested in anything else!
