  1. no problem u can continue. i think it is better to invest in some selected funds instead of going to a single.

  2. How much can you afford to lose?

When do you need to access the money?

Would you prefer to have a guaranteed rate of return on that money?

If you don't want to lose your principal, don't need to access it for a while, and would like a guaranteed rate of return similar to  historical averages (9%), you should change your investment strategy and move your money to other vehicles.

  3. If you have that much to invest each month you wouldn't be asking us here. You are smart enough to figure your situation out yourself

  4. You are smart enough to have $7000 per month to invest and you are asking Yahoo Answers if you can continue?  What is wrong here?

  5. Hanumanth,

You can continue the SIP if that is a good mutual fund, I mean a 4 or 5 star rated. SIP is the best way to overcome the stock market volatility..

You should not exit now because this is the time to buy maximum. If you want to exit, wait for some more time to reach the stock market in the peak of 23 or 24 thousan point and that is the good time to exit with maximum profit.

Be a courageous and patiant investor.. kepp investing and this is the time to have a bottom fishing.... As an example, myself purchase equity shares (direct) of worth 128000/- without any fear.

    Best wishes

  6. Yes you can continue as long has you do not have a need for the $$.  In the long run you will be happy you did as this is could be considered a buying opportunity.

  7. I don't know can you continue? depends on your financial situation.

I assume that you are wondering if you should continue investing through a SIP?  Every good economist will tell you that there are business cycles of ups and downs.  Right now we are in a down which means eventully it will go back up therefore you are buying mutual funds at a discount rate.  I would say keep putting your money into it.  Remember you want to buy low and sell high.  Our economy right not isn't as bad as the media makes it out to be.  By the true definition of recession we are not in one at all, stagnation yes.
