I am joinging the USMC, what should I go in for...?

Well, I am really good with computer but more of a hobby at this point enjoy programming but I know the Marines don't do anything like that, other wise I enjoy building s<h>i<t like mechanic wise ect. I just would like to help people in need and fight for our freedom or what is left of it. Help out a country in need, such as the Philippines or any other random country that needs help cleaning up there streets, anything to prove to people America isn't all that bad. i realize I am only one person but with the act of one others will follow. xP

Good for you being a patriot&gt; Be safe decide what you would like to do when your duty is over &amp; go for it&gt;There are many choices for you&gt;Check them all out before you sign&gt;

Uhm, I hate to burst your bubble, but without a college degree, you&#039;ll will probably be doing a little bit of fighting during your time in the marines.  Good luck.

I don&#039;t think most filipinos need help from US marines.If they did, the Philippine government would not have closed all the US bases and kicked out all the US military in 1991.The USMC that are at present &#039;helping&#039; the Philippine forces in the south of the country, are chasing and killing filipinos who oppose the unpopular and corrupt central government.

I&#039;m afraid those things you list will not be of much interest to the USMC, because like the Royal Marines of the British, their expertise lies in fighting, killing, overunning and doing it better than anyone else. If you have ambitions to help in the way you say, you should not even be thinking of joining the armed forces.Their job is to make war not peace.There are many other organisations in the US that you could join, whose job is helping others without carrying a gun.

You should be checking out the American Red Cross, The World Health Organisation and others like them.
