I am kind of confused about the ending of the BOOK, "The Notebook"?

I know that in the movie noah and allie die together, but im not sure about the ending in the book. Can sumone plz tell me???

It is definitely not the same.  Hollywood bastardized the ending of that book.  The movie followed pretty closely up until the end, when they ruined it.  In the book, Allie dies, but Noah does not.

Nicholas Sparks has actually written a sequel to The Notebook titled The Wedding and it is imperative in that book that Noah be alive and Allie be dead.
