  1. Not expected, but no problem if you want to.

  2. yes, to show your boss/soon to be ex boss how much you apressiated him/her

  3. yes that would not only be a great idea but also it would be like a mento to him/her u should buy him something he/she would have never thought of go here www.whatonearth.com u can find a bunch of cool stuff there

  4. I dont know if a gift is neccessary. I would think since you are leaving and they are having a party in your honor...you should get the gifts.

A simple 'thank you' type card would be nice. That way you can jot down a few reasons why you think they were such a great boss and how much you'll miss working for them.

  5. NO.  Dont need to at all.

  6. That would be a great idea. You'll surely need the reference to get another job with where you're moving, and I'm sure leaving a little something for the boss will leave an even better favorable impression. Here's a link I found for gift ideas.

Good luck to you with moving and your husband's new job. I'm sure this wasn't an easy decision, and I wish you the best.

  7. I believe it is really based on ur working relationship with your boss. If your relationship are very close, then perheps a little gift will be nice as a memorance.

My previous job (contract) was ended on a happy note that I make little parting gifts for everyone in my finance department.

Most of the time, I do keep my relationship with my ex boss on going. After all, the world is small ^^, you never know if you ever end up being a supplier or customer of your boss.
