I am leaving n 3 days for a cruise, my birth cert has my old lst name SSI crd n ID have new name! Wht 2 do?

My birth cert. Has my old lst name. My phto ID & SSI card along w/ current mail & DL have my new lst name.

I have the court ordered name change papers (2 chng everythng 2 mtch last name on SSI card) but they r frm 10 yrs ago and w/ little time, I don't knw wht 2 do.

Where can I get a valid ID tht mtchs my birth cert, qUiCk!?!

No passport is needed 4 the cruise (already chckd)!

Leave in 3 days wht can I do?!?

Well first I would retype that so it makes some sense Why did you remove the a from many of your words? what do you have against a? You also seem to not like e.. is it a vowel thing?

I had the same problem.  I spoke to my Travel Agent who spoke with the Cruise Line Agent and was told to type up a letter stating of name change with previous name and new name.  Take the letter and have it Notarized.  Cost is about ten dollars.  Worked fine.  Enjoy the cruise.

Most womens birth certificates and drivers licenses have different last names on them and it is not a problem.   You cannot get a birth certificate in your new name...and if you legally changed your last name, whether thru marriage or a court ordered name change, you cannot get any other I.D. in the old name now.  You should be fine.  Call the cruise line and run this past them.  If birth certificate and drivers license had to have matching names on them, how would any married American woman be able to go on a cruise or cross the border into Canada or Mexico?  For the future...just get a passport...makes everything simpler.
