  1. If you have been 'offered a job' in Alberta hotel, didn't you ask them what the salary would be????  Was this an unsolicited spam email??

The cost of living is also high here and apartments are hard to come by because a lot of them have been converted to condominiums and new apartment buildings are not being built.  Average price of a house here is $345,000.

  2. Stay in Dubai, Calgary is overpriced and workers underpaid. It currently holds the dubious distinction of having the highest inflation rate in Canada and is pretty much a winter city (11 months of the year) with a few weeks of spring where the snow melts long enough to let the brown grass show through. The only similarity you'll find between the two is the lack of trees, Calgay I think has maybe five or six trees in the city and nothng outside.

  3. ya I'm with the other guy on this one too. If you don't already live here, don't even bother. the city is way too packed, way too expensive, and it's only getting worse. you'll be looking at a price range from $800-$1200 ($800 if your very lucky) per month just for a one bedroom apartment

  4. Because you have experience from such a high rating hotel you could make around $15.00 an hour as a starting salary.

The cost of living is very high.

do you know anyone in Calgary?

Do you want to work other places?(Banff, Edmonton, etc)

places like Cochran(?) just outside of Calgary are fairly cheap. If you live there you could work in a hotel that is in the airport area.

for more info you can look on job sites and housing sites for more specific prices.

I would recommend if you REALLY want to work in Calgary that you  need to save for rent, food, entertainment, and other.

so expect to spend at least $1100 a month to live.
