Hi, can you please share your views and help me in knowing the exact situation. I am planning to move away from vancouver because of unaffordable housing, traffic jams, higher crime rate and some other factors. I am thinking of moving ti east coast which might seem unlikely as lot of migration is happening from east coast to west coast.

My choices are between Ottawa (ON), Moncton and Fredericton (NB)

i have never visited these cities.

So please someone who is familiar with these cities can highlight their views. My priority is a city offering affordable housing, good availability of jobs in general. A city offering decent wages atleast $11 an hour.

Please share your ideas. I will appreciate your kindness to help me.

  2. before moving anywhere permanently you should spend a couple of weeks in NB split between Moncton and Fredricton and a week in Ottawa to get a feel for it.  Especially if you've never been to either place.

  3. Any housing you find east of Vancouver is going to seem very affordable after Vancouver. Perhaps had you told us what your limits are, we would be able to give you better answers. Also would you be looking at buying or renting?

Also about jobs - the job markets are different in all three cities and are different for different types of work. A hint here would also be helpful. If we tell you that there are very few jobs in one of these cities and then you find out that, although that is generally true, there is a crying need for what YOU do, you could be missing out on an opportunity. By the same token, an answer of  "lots of work" may be misleading if that work is not something you have ever done. How about editing your question to include some useful clues.
