  2. Take a train from Hyderabad to Calicut or cochin. From there there are pleanty of buses to munnar.Take luxury buses only. Try to travel by bus in the day time. You will have nice picturesque view.

    I would suggest to take a flight from HYD-Cochin by Jet Lite as they have very attractive fares & from there take cab to Munnar (Travel time 04Hours from Cochin Airport).  It is nice place to spent & there is no mobile network works there except BSNL.

  5. Fly to Cochin (direct flights available) and drive to Munnar (3 hours) ... the drive is picturesque and quaint. From Munnar if you want to head out to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, drive towards Thekkady. Would recommend that you stay at Shalimar Spice Garden there (www.anantara.in/shalimar.htm)

    MUNNAR

    Munnar is an amazing hill station, famous for its incredibly attractive natural beauty.     By Air - Kochi is just 130 kms from Munnar. It has an International airport, so it is well connect to the major cities of like chennai, delhi, mumbai, banglore, hyderabad.

    By Rail - Nearest Railhead is Kochi i.e 130kms, it is well connected to other cities by regular and express trains.

    By Road - Roads are in good condition and well connected to he other major cities of the state. You can take Kerala state Transport buses or private deluxe coaches.

    Best time to travel Munnar is between September to may.
