I am looking at a 1967 Chevy II Nova but is it worth $15000?

NADA says that it ranges from $7k to $17k. $17k being high average. The car is absolutely beautiful and fully restored. It may just need a little detailing under the hood. I find them on the net averaging around $20000 but the blue book value is not there...any advice?

  1. depends on the person if he is a fanatic or not and if he is obsessed with old cars. BUT i know you can get laid BIG TIME with 15k lol

  2. NO

  3. Why don't you go to Ebay Motor and search under Nova and see what condition and price they're actually bring today?  And pick this the best answer

  4. my dads friends chevelle is worth about 20k and its been fully restored. so it could be if its real clean with ac and maybe the bigblock

  5. There's no way to accurately answer your question without more details on the car because the value depends almost entirely on options.  A straight 6 post model may only be worth $10k in perfect condition.  A L79, 4 speed, SS hardtop could go as high as $50K.

  6. Do you have any clue how much it costs to restore a 41 year old car? Parts are not readily available and in the majority of the cases everything from floorboards up need replaced due to rust. Buy one not restored and work your way up and then ask a price and see if your asking price generates the time and parts cost is worth it to you. Not being mean---but seriously......you can't know much about cars if you are asking what a car is worth when the one you are looking at is only at the higher end of the spectrum and only needs some detailing under the hood.

  7. think what it will be worth in ten years these cars are very popular...

  8. It really depends on the quality of the restoration and the options.  No way for us to say without looking over the specific car.    Anyway, you are buying it for fun, not for investment, and its not a lot of money either way.

  9. It just depends on how badly you really want it.  If you can't live without it then yes it is.  Check out the prices on this link....the one for 15k is a steal lol.

  10. No way I'd ever pay that much for a Chevy 2

You can get a vintage Camaro for that kind of money

or an early 60's Impala with a 409 cid V8

  11.   Yes, my dad had a Nova and he loved it he wanted to pay whatever he could to get it. But when he sold it he wanted to sell it for more than he payed for it because of the quality and the next person who bought it for that much because he knew what the quality was worth.
