I am looking for a 26inch hdtv, what brand should I get?

We bought a 37 in. Vizio flat screen in February and we love it!  We did a lot of research prior to this purchase and we're very pleased with what others had to say about it so we bought it.  It was very inexpensive compared to it's competitors and is available at Walmart or Sam's Club.

The Sony 720p LCD looks great. It's about $100 more than a Vizio or Olevia, but the picture quality is superior.

The question is impossible to answer. At 26" you will be looking at an LCD HDTV, and there is not much point in looking at 1080p models (too small to justify). That said, why 26"? You would be best to define size after determining your viewing location since optimum screen size is related to viewing distance.

And you give no idea of price/budget.  You also don't, for example, indicate whether a computer monitor with HDTV connectivity is an option, nor do you state whether you need a tuner or would accept a monitor (no tuner since you would use a satellite or cable box to provide that). You do say you will use it for mainly PS3 games ... but that doesn't answer the question re TV use.

Define the answers to those questions, define a budget and then look for name brand models that meet the specs. Look at reviews for the options and pick one.
