How about adopting a puppy from a local shelter instead? It might not be purebred but it will know your daughter saved its life and be loyal for it! Plus buying specific breeds from 'backyard breeders' (and yes almost all breeders are backyard breeders regardless of what credentials they say they have) encourages the trade and thus leads to more and more overpopulation of dogs that will be put to sleep.

So I hope you find it in your heart to show your daughter compassion and adopt a puppy!

Please plaese adopt. Think about all the dogs and puppies in the shelter that don't even get to have a life because they are put down.

Or you could even get an adult dog. The shelter always has so many adults that don't get adopted. If you get an adult you skip all chewing, potty training, and bad puppy behaviors.
