I am looking for a awesome crafts idea for 8-11 year olds that needs to last 45 min. any ideas?

its a 4 day camp...we already do friendship bracelets and tiedye...its for about 40 kids.....

8-11 year olds have an amazing attention span... find out what they are interested in a create an activity from their interest.. ie... pokemon as an intereste... create a world to play the small pokemon... or a comic book with the pokemon... clay creations on the pokemon... etc.. you can extend their leaning once you have found their individual interest.  good luck  :)

bead kits at walmart are really cheap it's fun and creative, im 14 and i would even enjoy doing that.

how about a bunch of beads and stretchy string and they can make cool bracelets or friendship bracelets.  You can get everything you'll need at any craft store.

Check out making elastic beaded bracelets. All you need are the beads, some jewelry elastic, and some super glue. Figure out how far to stretch the elastic, string the beads, tie the elastic and clip the ends, put a bead over the knot, hold the bead, and put a drop of glue at the mouth of the bead so it wicks into the bead. It will hold the knot, and hold the bead over the knot. Cute, my friend did this for her daughter' wedding shower using leftover beads. And check the hobby stores for sales, and go to the clearance department for sales, I just found crystal beads there on sale.

And try Walmart, things are cheap there.

dollar stores have inexpensive supplies, like little wooden boxes to paint and decorate with stickers, beads , shells or anything they like to personalize the boxes. My gr daughter did this at her birthday party and the kids enjoyed making them.
