I am looking for a cheap place to rent near Charleston wv for a vacation.?

I am a single mother and have been on the same live-in job for 4 years now. The walls are closing in on me. I need some time away from here but have no money saved up. My employer may pay for a vacation for me and my child if I can find something cheap to rent for a short time. My main goal is just to get away for awhile, not real concerned about having a blast. Anyone have any ideas?

Hey,  I live in Charleston, WV.  We rent an apartment.  $475 and electric is the only utillity we pay(plus a phone bill).  Cable TV is free and you just pay for the extras like the internet.  We rent from Apartment Management services.  They manage half of the apartment buildings in Charleston.    I'm not sure about short term rentals with them, but they do have some furnished apartments. Here is one of their adds for unfurnished I think;

September is a good Month in Charleston.  There is the River Regatta and all kinds of stuff going on.

Do you have family here?  Just wondering, because Charleston isn't a very laid back City anymore and the crime rate is up here.  Also, be sure you see things before you rent.  Apartment Management is good and they keep things up, but there are some people in town that have some nasty places.

I know of some nice laid back places in Tennesse if you are interested.
