I am looking for a cheap way to get to State College, PA from NYC. Anyone know of anything?

Details: I am looking for bus, train, whatever to get me to penn state in state college, PA. I checked Greyhound and its 110 roundtrip. Anyone know of a way to me to save money with roundtrip. A detour in philly is cool with me if its necessary. I was also contemplating taking a Chinese bus to philly from NYC (22 bucks roundtrip) and from philly getting something. Be creative. I want to spend only like 50 bucks total, but upwards to 75 is ok. Thanks!

You could look for a ride on craigslist and post a message there under "rideshare."  Or try the new ridefinder site called Zimride.  On the craigslist site, look for your city on the list on the right or click on 'more' at the bottom of the list.

If your city is not there, choose nearest one.
