I am looking for a chinstrap for my son mx helmet. i do not know if they even make such a thing.?

no it is a brand new helmet. this is the problem. he nose dived on a jump and the bottom on the helmet hit the handlebars and pushed the helmet up and the chin strap cut him about two inches long. the cut is right where the chin strap goes. now when it gets well enough for him to ride the fresh scar is going to right under the chin strap. we are trying to get something so that spot will no be soar when he gets to ride again.

Wiggysan is absolutely right.  My daughters both ride dirt bikes and anytime a helmet takes hard impact, either on the ground, or handlebars, the helmet is replaced.

Is is snapped?

If the helmet is old and strap is worn out, then get him a new helmet.

The straps are very very tough, if its been cut for some reason [ crash ] then the helmet is useless now anyway.
