  1. Yes tutors can get pretty pricey, but it isn't like you are gonna spend all day in school. Probably only 3-4 hours max.

I think going with a Charter school is a much better choice for you since your parents can't due to working. They have Teachers online that can help you and it will be easy enough to do everything online.

  2. go to a charter school. look them up in your phone book. they are basically schools that help with homeschoolers. its like school, but not many peers and you are one on one with a teacher (tutor) who helps you with your work and assigns work for you

  3. ahhhh the reason for so many dumb kids in america!

  4. liar

  5. What you would need to do is either look for a tutor (Expensive, but worth it), a charter school, or an online homeschool program-see if your state and county have a k-12 program. You may want to do a search for homeschool groups in your area as well-contact them to see if they can point you in the right direction

And ignore the idiot first responder.

  6. What you're looking for is a full-time tutor. They exist, but hiring one will likely be extremely expensive.

  7. There are a few ways to go about this.

One option is to place an ad locally.  You can do this through local newspapers (in print or online), your local Craigslist (try www.craigslist.com ), or other places that have advertisements.  You could even try putting up ads on the bulletin boards at a local college or asking the staff at a local school.

Or you could try looking in the newspaper or local Yellow pages for tutoring companies.  There are national chains and lots of local independent companies that do tutoring, and many of these are working with homeschoolers who need tutoring.

However, the above options are probably going to find tutors who will only want to work with you a few hours a day (which is all that's necessary for homeschooling).  You might need to come up with an alternative for the rest of the time that your parents are working, so that you will have an adult in charge (a babysitter).

Or, if the laws in your state allow for it, you might look into finding a homeschooling family that would be willing (for pay) to allow you to stay with them during "school hours" and do your homeschooling with them.  You'd probably be best off looking for local homeschool support groups (lots of them have websites) and asking if they'd ask their members to see if any of them would be interested in the job.  This option would probably be cheaper and would eliminate the need for a babysitter after tutoring hours are done, but not every state allows such an arrangement, so you'll need to check out your state's laws.

    Good luck.
