Question:

I am looking for a good cheese hashbrown recipe.

But every recipe that I have found online calls for cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup. I know that Campbell's makes a cheddar cheese soup, so do you know of a recipe that uses the cheese soup instead of the chicken or mushroom soup?

Thanks!

  1. I'm sure you can substitute the cheese soup for the chicken soup in any recipe. Here is my favorite recipe

    2lbs frozen hash browns- thawed

    2 1/2 c mild shredded cheddar cheese

    8oz french onion dip

    8oz sour cream

1 can cream of chicken soup

    1/2tsp salt   1/4 tsp pepper

mix all and pur into a greased 9x13 pan

top with 1/2c melted butter and 2c. cornflakes(combined)

bake at 350 for 1 hour

  2. Several recipes:

  3. Hashbrown Casserole --

1-32 oz   Bag           Ore-Ida Shredded Frozen

                            Hashbrown Potatoes

    2         Tablespoons   Onions, minced

    1         Cup           Sour Cream

    1         Stick         Butter

1         Can           Campbell's® Cheddar Cheese Soup

    1         Cup           Shredded Cheddar Cheese

    OOPS - NEED DIRECTIONS, LOL

    Directions:

Melt the Butter in a large pan. Add the Cheddar Cheese Soup to the pan and heat to a boil. Add the Sour Cream and the Onion and mix thoroughly. Add in the thawed Hashbrown Potatoes and mix well. Spread this mixture in a greased 9" x 13" baking dish. Sprinkle the top with the Shredded Cheddar Cheese and bake in a pre-heated 350-degree oven for 1 hour.

I am not exactly sure where I got this recipe, except that I got it off the Internet. This is one of those recipes that any leftovers will microwave very easily, assuming you have any leftovers that is.
