I am looking for a good science/astronomy magazine for my niece she is 6.?

or maybe a recommendation on some books for kids that could possibly brainwash her into becoming an astronomer. Thanks.

  1. That's pretty young to get much out of it besides the pictures, and I don't know of any specifically for kids, but I started getting Astronomy magazine when I was 10.  Sky and Telescope is good too but a bit more technical and geared towards people with their own equipment.

    Check out a local astronomy club as well - many of them hold monthly 'star parties' where you can look through their telescopes at planets and galaxies.  A pair of her own binoculars and a planisphere would be good too - you can look for stuff together.

  3. Check out your library. They would know of books and magazines that would be for her age group
