  1. There are no virtual high schools in IN.  Both K12 and Connections were going to open schools this year, but the state legislature or teachers' union (can't recall which), shut them down right before they opened.

Even if you have a virtual school option, you would not be HS'ed, you'd have "public school at home".  There is a distinct difference.  You'd be a virtual public charter student.

If they're a public school, they just cost the "normal" PS school fees.  If you go with a private online school or a few courses, they would not be cheap.  They start around $350/course/semester.

You should take the classes to fulfill your state's laws and graduation requirements.

No, one of your parents doesn't have to stay home, unless you're "under age" (varies by state).  Yes, they can still work.  They would oversee your work, though, and keep you on track.  They'd need to be involved in decisions.

You'd do your work both online and offline.

Here are some private online middle and high schools:

K12 (uses some Apex courses and some of their own):

  2. Indiana Connections Academy there is free and they will help you with everything you need to know ...no your parents do not need to be at home,

  3. I already shared some schools in my other response to a similar question. Check those out to find out how much they would cost. And Indiana Connections Academy is not up and running, so that's out of the question.
