There a fair bit of work for people in the building trade (bro and dad are both plasterers). Here's some websites:

And you can just look up plasterers Australia online and you can find jobs too although most jobs that are addvertised you will need a blue card for (like saftey cert). You get them easily online and I think it depends which state you are living in too. Oh and becareful if your illegally working as some bosses really hate it and you may get an ear full.

For working in Australia you will need the appropriate visa, a Tax File Number and a bank account. If you do not have a Tax File Number, you can still work but the level you will be taxed at will be A LOT more that if you have a number.
