  1. First, find a nice battenburg picture - try Google image search.

    Then, find a website or program that will convert it into stitches for you.

  2. There's a Battenberg pattern in the book "Knitorama: 25 Great & Glam Things to Knit" by Rachael Matthews. Your local library should be able to get a copy for you.

  3. There is a knitted battenberg cake pattern in the Jean Greenhowe booklet 'Bazaar Knits'. This should be readily available at wool shops or online and there are lots of other good patterns in the booklet.
