  1. as in religious mission trip or just personal mission trip to help others? Religious trips are notoriously expensive...and secular ones are usually the same. I have used www.kidsworldwide.org and www.originalvolunteers.co/uk

Both are about as inexpensive as they come.

  2. Good luck.. airfares are not cheap with the rising cost of oil.

Then again where are you comming from ?

  3. Well, it's not exactly a missions trip, but you might find something about this to be a good fit for you:

    http://www.colinadeluz.org

It's an orphanage in Mexico run by a pastor and his wife. You can tour the orphanage, or volunteer there for a period of time. Don't quote me on this (all of the particular details can be found on their site), but I don't think it costs you anything. You just need to be able to make sure you can afford for your bills to be paid for whatever period of time you volunteer.

Like I was saying, it's run by a pastor and his wife, and the orphanage is a religious one. It has won awards from the Mexican government for being an outstanding institution. Back to my point, it's not a requirement to be religious in order to volunteer, and not everyone is at the same level, but you would definitely be involved missions-wise.

If this doesn't work out for you, please note the donation items that they need and feel free to pass their info along to others!

    Good luck in your search.
