The only gaming I do is with Microsoft flight sim X which seems to need pretty graphic intensive hardware. Other than that its just music and Pictures. Do I really need to spend the money on a more expensive gaming comp. for just one game.?

  1. yes. that game is relatively famous in cpu circles because it is one of the few multithreaded games on the market today. that means it takes advantage of multicore processors over 2, e.g. quad- and tricores.

Depending on how involved you want to get:

    1. Very involved: go through www.tomshardware.com/charts to figure out what kind of computing power you need. then, go to www.pricewatch.com to find a vendor that has all the parts you want.

    2. So-So: go to www.pricewatch.com and select a vendor based on customer feedback. www.computerlx.com has stellar feedback.

    3. Not at all: to go www.pricewatch.com and just select any vendor. they'll help you put a computer together. Or, you can go to hp or dell.

they take a lot of the hassle out of computer buying.

that being said, if your current computer runs it fine, there's no need at all to upgrade.

  2. You dont have to, if its necessary to buy a new computers just for the Game, whatever your using, the game should still work and run ok.

you might see the same results, but the cost is valuable when buying a new computer. but if you are looking for a gaming computer, dont go with the media comp, i would go with the gaming computer instead, like alienware.
