We are a small school about 85 children in ks2 but we like all the children to be involved. A musical with a CD would be preferable

  1. there's a play called Hallejuah Handel. it's about Mystro Handels messiah coming to town to sing for the queen or someone like that. through out the whole story, handels neice is trying to get this little boy, thomas to speak because he is traumitized and has not spoken to anyone in along time since his mother died. but the only time they herar him speak is when he is singing in song. it is a very sweet striy, i love it and i have not seen it in play but i bet that it would be a good play to watch. you get the story in a CD or cassette. it's performed bya group called Classical Kids. i have the cassette version, well, had . i dont know where it is now but i loved that story so much i remember it by heart. in the story there is a part when they sing Handels Messiah. because of this song id say its a good christmas musical to play. good luck. i wish i was there to play it if u pick this.

  2. My kids did one called, ' A rocking Christmas' but I can't remember who is was by. Peter Pan is also good as you can have loads of pirates and indians.

If not why not just use the music from high school muscial and write your own words!

  3. It isn't exactly new, but I remember the play we did in my primary school, about 8 years ago, back when I was in KS2, 'Do You Believe In Father Christmas?'

Everyone in Y5 and Y6 was involved, and loved it. There's plenty of parts, lots of songs that everyone can sing. I have really fond memories of it, years later =)

    Hope this helps! x
