Other places to check locally would be to luggage shops as they sell personal alarms either in a keychain model or a pendant. These require a child to press the panic button in an emergency - you would have to teach your child to use these products - many kids would panic and forget though.

Walmart even sells personal alarms in their handbag department - they usually have a selection of travel based products on a stand.

Many nursery schools have places you can order these child friendly alarms from. It might be worth giving some of the larger ones a call

Check with your child's teacher - many teachers of small children keep up to date on products pertaining to them.

You can also purchase personal alarms in the hardware section of department stores where they sell fire and smoke alarms. Home Depot, Sears - any one of these places usually stock adult personal alarms in the same department.
