Not to mention that he won't remember it. First and second birthdays need to be at home, with family and friends. The child will be more comfortable and therefore less fussy. Having an organized event somewhere becomes more about the parents rather than the child.

How about your home?  It is more acceptable than any public place where perverts and nasty people roam.  A 1 year old should be at home for his birthday in a safe and friendly enviroment.
