  1. Your friend doesn't have a bobtail burmese - there is no such thing, and I'm fairly sure that Burmese don't come in white.  Often people will put exotic sounding labels on mixed breed cats to make them more appealing (or to get more money for them).  What your friend most likely has is a mixed breed cat with a bobbed tail.

  2. There is no such thing as a bobtail burmese. Or a pure white burmese for that matter. Your friend must be mistaken when it comes to wat kind of cat this is. I have been breeding and showing Burmese for 23 years, and my mom had the best sable burmese in the nation 6 years ago.

Burmese come in sable, champgain, and grey. Look up "sable burmese" on google to find a real purebred.

Unfortunatly people nowadays think they have a purebred cat when in reality they do not.

  3. I hate to be a wet noodle and  burst your bubble, but there is no such thing as a white Burmese cat. Burmese cats have tails, so if you saw a white burmese and it has a bobbed tail, either it was a genetic defect or lost most of the tail in an accident. Most Burmese are sable brown or a light "fawn" or chocolate color.

You may be thinking of a Japanese Bobtail. They are gorgeous cats, and do have bob tails.

Kittens from reputable breeders can be quite pricey, depending on the quality of the type; if they are show quality, breeder quality or pet quality.

You can see a show quality Japanese Bobtail here:

You might contact the Japanese Bobtail rescue groups to see if there are any cats available. Generally there is an adoption fee.
